Requirements for text design

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

1. Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else and it has been approved by the internal editor. It should fulfill the plagiarism requirements (the originality of the text must be at least 90 % of the total volume).

All manuscripts should fulfill the following criteria:

1. The minimal length of an article is not less than 5 pages of A4 format and total length of an article, including illustrations and tables to be inserted in the text, should not exceed 20 pages of A4 format.

2. Manuscripts should be saved in DOC or DOCX format (Microsoft Word 2003 or higher) and submitted by e-mail: eim@kuzstu.ru

3. The following requirements should be observed:

1) Page: margins – 2.5, page header – 0.8, page orientation - portrait

2) The typeface should be Times New Roman, size 11 points. Type the text with the single-line spacing. Use wordwrap.

3) The manuscript should provide the following:

The title (use caps) in English, typeface – semi-bold, size 12 points, central placing.

Information about the author(s):

- Name and Surname of the author(s);

- The affiliation(s)

Abstract of 150 to 250 words. The abstract should contain a concise description of the contents and main results of the article;

Keywords (5-8 words)

Full information about the author(s) should be placed after the article:

- Name and Surname of the author(s); - scientific degree, position; - place of work and department (institute, department , etc.); - address(es) of the author(s)’ organization; - е-mail

4) Place formulas using Microsoft only: formula elements (except symbols) are printed in italics; for Greek latters and symbols use font Symbol, for the rest Times New Roman (the use of Russian latters in formulas is undesirable). The size of basic symbols in a formula (sum, integral, etc.) is 12, small – 11 and all the rest – 9.

5) Figures, placed in the text, should be moveable and can be changed in size. Figures may be submitted separately from the text in jpg format. When preparing your figures make them possible to change into black and white. The thicknesses of lines and sizes should provide clearness and recognizability at possible change of the figure’s sizes during editing the text. Figure captions begin with the term Fig. in italics, followed by the figure number. Include the captions in the text file of the manuscript, not in the figure file.

6) Tables should always be cited in text in consecutive numerical order. Table 1. Air volume composition

7) References should be listed in the order of their citation in the text. The number of reference is placed in the text in square brackets, for example [13, 17] or [6, p. 24-28]. The list of references should only include works that are cited in the text and that have been published. Only the works mentioned in the article should be included into the list of references.

8) References should have a range of at least 15 and more positions; citation of references of the author(s) should be not more than 15 % of the total reference number; the list of references should be up-to-date; it should cover important previous works realized in the given area of interest on an international scale.

The author-date system of references style (Harvard or APA style) is acceptable. In the reference list, names of all authors should be given.

9) Only two articles from one author are accepted for publication in one issue

10) Publication is free of charge

11) Minor corrections of stylistic and formal character are made without agreement with the author (s). If more serious corrections are necessary it is reconciled with the author (s) or the article is sent to the author (s) for revision.
