Abstract: In the context of modern technological development, changing employment formats, and increasing competition amid the high dynamics of most product markets, the role of mentoring as a tool for the rapid adaptation of newcomers and maintaining a high level of professionalism among employees is becoming especially significant. However, until recently, the development of mentoring institutions has been uneven across various industries and lacked comprehensive regulatory frameworks. Against this backdrop, research into mentoring as a social institution and personnel technology has become increasingly relevant. The purpose of this study is to analyze mentoring as a specific social technology focused on the professional and personal adaptation of employees. Research methods: analysis of data from sociological studies and scientific publications revealing approaches to analyzing the problem of socio-professional mentoring mechanisms. This article analyzes the importance of applying the activity-based HR technology of mentoring across various industries and sectors. It identifies the practical benefits of implementing activity-based HR technology—mentoring—related to optimizing the process of newcomers' adaptation to job responsibilities and integration into the business community, reducing the costs of training and preparing new employees while retaining valuable personnel and increasing their credibility, and reducing errors and risks associated with new employees' lack of experience.
