Abstract: The relevance of the research is due to universal digitalization and the widespread use of digital tools in all spheres of public and economic life, including the retail services market. Digital technologies not only optimize the internal processes of enterprises, but also create new channels of interaction with consumers, expanding the possibilities of personalization of offers. This, in turn, creates the need for a detailed study of this phenomenon, including the study and analysis of relevant terminology. The research method includes an analysis of existing points of view of domestic and international authors, a comparative study of various interpretations of the conceptual apparatus of such categories as: "service", "trade service", "retail trade" and "retail service". Based on the results of the study, the authors clarified the definition of "retail services in the context of digital transformation" taking into account modern digital trends in trade development, and also compiled a classification of participants in the retail services market in the context of digital transformation. As a final conclusion, we can say that digital transformation is a complex and multifaceted process that requires businesses not only to implement new technologies, but also to invest in staff development and create a culture of innovation. Only a comprehensive approach, regular assessments of results, and adjustments to strategies will allow businesses to respond quickly to changes in the external environment and maintain stable profit growth.
