Abstract: The article examines state support measures for the information and communication sector and the manufacturing industry, which are prioritized in the current state policy to ensure the technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation. A detailed analysis of the effectiveness of these measures is conducted on a regional basis, using data on the dynamics of the gross regional domestic product of the Russian Federation's subjects in the field of information and communication. As a result of the analysis, key regional support measures are identified, which help stimulate the growth of the sector's added value. The study reveals that the main factor driving the sector's growth is the simplified taxation system, which is actively applied in most regions with high gross regional domestic product growth rates. However, a potential issue of fictitious business migration to regions with low tax rates was identified, leading to new amendments to the tax code aimed at mitigating this problem by regulating changes in simplified taxation system rates due to migration. In conclusion, the article provides recommendations for improving support measures within the framework of preferential taxation to ensure the sustainable development of the reviewed sectors, as well as regional economies.
