Abstract: The article considers the problem of formation and improvement of the organizational and economic mechanism in the sphere of nature management in the region in the context of sustainable development of the national economy. The approaches to the analysis of the concepts of "economic mechanism" and "organizational and economic mechanism" are considered, the analysis of the regulatory framework for their implementation in the system of greening of regional development is presented. The object of the study is the development of the organizational and economic mechanism, the subject is the regulation of anthropogenic impact on the environment of the region with a predominance of basic industries. The purpose of the study is to develop a model of the mechanism for greening the development of an industrial region, for which the article presents such tools for achieving it as a regional environmental standard and strategic environmental assessment. The algorithm for creating and implementing a regional environmental standard in the regional management system is also substantiated. The proposed algorithm is tested on the materials of the socio-ecological and economic development of the Kemerovo region-Kuzbass and is recommended for implementation in industrially developed regions of the Russian Federation.
