Abstract: The article considers the fundamental factors of achieving economic security at the current stage of functioning of the Russian economy. Strengthening geopolitical challenges and external restrictions for the Russian economy predetermine the need to revise and transform the main determinants of ensuring its security. The article presents a systematic approach to the classification of reactive forces of ensuring economic security, which includes such groups of factors as macroeconomic, structural and transformational, institutional, factors of sustainable development based on ESG principles, factors of development of import substituting processes in the economy, technological factors and factors of human capital development, distributed by levels in accordance with the significance of the relevant processes in the national economy and their impact on ensuring economic security. Within the framework of the identified factors, the connection with ensuring economic security is substantiated, and the risks and limitations associated with the strengthening of negative processes (deindustrial trend of economic development, strengthening of macroeconomic destabilization, development of industrial production based on less advanced technologies, reduction of the integration processes of the Russian economy into global value chains, etc.) are presented. From a methodological point of view, taking into account the factors presented in the article will allow a more concrete idea to be formed about the possibilities and conditions for achieving economic security of the Russian economy in the context of external restrictions.
