Abstract: The article shows that for the emergence of domestic developments, it is important to support all links from basic computing equipment and specialized data centers, the development of basic models and optimization algorithms to specific settings on a profile data array for the needs of the end user. The main threats that hinder the accelerated implementation of the technologies under consideration in Russia are systematized (severation of ties between Russian companies working using GII and global technology giants, restrictions on international scientific and technical cooperation, restrictions on foreign investment in high-tech startups, outflow of personnel, lack of sufficient computing power in the Russian Federation ), and also identified windows of opportunity for the Russian market (an impulse for Russian large IT companies that stimulate the development of their own products in the field of GII, a traditionally strong scientific school in the field of mathematics and computer science, an incentive for Russian companies to work with Asian partners, who in many respects more promising from the point of view of breakthrough innovations, the planned commissioning of updated and newly created critical information infrastructure facilities in 2023). The competitiveness of the domestic economy and technological sovereignty are associated with the accelerated implementation of critical technologies, which in particular include generative artificial intelligence.
