Abstract: The article reflects a study of the problem of strengthening the protection of intel-lectual property, the objects of which are constantly multiplying and diversifying in the course of digitalization of the economy. Another problem is the incomplete list of digital assets, the ownership of which is not adequately reflected in Russian legislation. This is particularly relevant in the context of the transformation of the legal system in relation to strengthening the protection of intellectual property, the formation of a new legal culture and legal implementation, in the process of accel-erating the digital transformation of the economy. The article examines the existing legal regulation of digital creative objects in Russia, such as Internet memes, video games and streams, and NFT tokens. It is shown that from a legislative point of view, an Internet meme and a video game are objects of copyright, while streams cannot be classified as objects of copyright; in turn, to clarify the NFT token as an object of civil rights, it is advisable to use the definition of “digital thing”, specifying the legislation of the Russian Federation.
