Abstract: This article is devoted to the formalization of cross-professional competencies of personnel in the energy sector and the development of a matrix of cross-professional competencies for the energy sector. The purpose of the study is to develop a matrix of supra-professional competencies for the energy sector, which differs from existing developments in that it takes into account current competencies in accordance with the atlas of new professions, and is also adapted for the energy sector. As part of this goal, the following tasks were set and solved: the labor market of the fuel and energy complex of the Russian Federation is represented; the demanded vacancies and the level of wages of young specialists in the energy sector were assessed; modern supra-professional competencies of personnel in the energy sector are formalized; a matrix of supra-professional competencies for the energy sector was developed. The object of the study is the labor market in the energy sector of the Russian Federation, and the subject is supra-professional competencies for the energy sector. After analyzing the labor market of the fuel and energy complex of the Russian Federation, it was revealed that the number of young specialists at energy enterprises is very low. At the current stage of development of new technologies, this is a negative factor for companies. It is also worth noting that for effective work, personnel need to be motivated and stand up for a career development trajectory. In this regard, a matrix of cross-professional competencies was developed for personnel in the energy sector, which is necessary for the future energy labor market.
