Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of reliability and durability of equipment purchased in the primary or secondary market. The main causes of equipment failure are analyzed, since equipment reliability directly affects the profit of the enterprise and the continuity of the logistics chain. Using such indicators as the characteristics of the reliability of systems, coefficients of technical depreciation of equipment depending on its condition, management can calculate the remaining "life" before the transition to a non-operational state and adjust prices to the probabilities of finding them in a workable condition. In solving these problems the enterprise management can be helped by the knowledge of the methods of formation of prices and costs for equipment maintenance with the use of elements of the theory of reliability and longevity of machines and equipment. The carried out researches have allowed to reveal the most suitable dependence describing probability of presence of loaders in operable and non-operable condition as well as to correct the price and solve the questions connected with the organization of repair and maintenance. In practice when purchasing equipment the final price is determined on the basis of the comparative and expensiveness methods and the appraiser may use different weighting coefficients of prices received by two methods at the final price determination.
