Abstract: The article analyzes the criteria for structural shifts in the economy, on the basis of which their author's typology was formulated, including neo-industrial shift, de-industrial and re-industrial anti-shifts. The functions and factors of structural shifts, directly and indirectly related to the impact of economic shocks on macro- and mesoeconomic proportions, are presented. As a result of a review of scientific papers in the field of studying the structural transformation of the economy and the impact of shocks on it as non-cyclical crisis processes, it was concluded that the function of long-term anti-shock protection inherent in the neo-industrial structural shift, while for the re-industrial shift in character, the function of short-term stabilization. The key factors of the neo-industrial structural shift include reproduc-tive, technological, diversification and industry. The methodological foundations of the study were formed by works in the field of structural analysis, cyclical and non-cyclical (shock) economic dynamics, as well as in the field of sustainability of socio-economic systems. Particular attention in the article was paid to the analysis of endogenous factors of the neo-industrial structural shift and its anti-shock function in the face of increasing external sanctions and technological restrictions.
