Abstract: The article deals with theoretical and applied aspects of intellectual property risks. The purpose of the research is to identify and systematize risks arising in the market of intellectual property rights, which are integral elements of the risk management system and ensure effective management of intellectual property objects, which allows to prevent possible financial losses of economic entities. Trends in the intellectual property market in Russia and the practice of using exclusive rights in economic turnover determine the relevance of this study. General scientific methods, such as analysis, systematization and classification, were used as a methodological basis for the study. The experience of judicial practice given in the article reveals the applied aspects of intellectual property risks and emphasizes the importance of the risk management system at the enterprise. Analysis of the causes of risks in the intellectual property market revealed the lack of a systematic approach to risk management, weak control and lack of professionalism in the protection of intellectual property rights. As a result of the research, the main elements of the intellectual property risk management system were formulated, aimed at preventing the occurrence of risks and minimizing economic losses of economic entities in the exclusive rights market.
