Abstract: Technological innovations, the introduction of which leads to environmental problems, cannot contribute to the economically sustainable development of industrial production. The authors show how this situation is related to the theory of industrial environmental management, analyzing this relationship on the example of Russia, over the past hundred years, replaced the two concepts of economic development. To determine the environmental safety of technological innovations at the level of their development, the authors propose to use the ecological and economic principles of the new theory of nature management, built on the basis of the anthropo-cosmic worldview. Such a theory will help in the development of technological innovations to take into account the systemic integrity of our planet as a Cosmo-planetary organism and not to violate its position in the system of Cosmo-natural unity. According to the proposed theory of nature management, only those technological innovations that are aimed at implementing the principle of "co-evolution of society and nature" can prevent the destruction of the biosphere on Earth. In space exploration, this principle is proposed to cosmize, which will prevent the emergence of Cosmo-planetary environmental problems when using technological innovations in extraterrestrial space. The article emphasizes that the implementation of this principle requires the cooperation of countries in the introduction of technologies in the field of industrial production. The ethical code of the engineer defining its relation to development of technologies at transition to a new industrial way with use of artificial intelligence is offered.
