Abstract: The university training of economists in Russia, gradually integrating into the global educational system, is experiencing a number of problems caused by both the long-term isolation from the world trends and under-estimation of pedagogical work, formalism in assessing its results. Along with this, the modern education system at higher educational institutions does not have an individual approach due to many circumstances: a hard curriculum for all students, a reduction in academic hours for study the disciplines, the predominance of forms and methods of teaching, leaving no room for creativity, weak learning motivation of students, rash in the choice of profession. These problems retain their relevance in the context of the need to implement the main determinants of the integration of Russian universities into the global educational system. In particular, it is the interactive teaching methods in combination with the traditional ones that will allow students to develop active cognitive activity, work out the communicative competencies in various forms, strengthen the motivation to study the discipline and create a favorable atmosphere for learning.
