Abstract: There is an increased interest in the cadastral value institution, its prospects and opportunities for development and further growth in economics. Despite this, the wording "cadastral value institution" is rarely used, although its existence in the national economy is a generally accepted fact. This article is devoted to the analysis of the theoretical and organizational aspects of origin and management of the cadastral value institution in Russia. The results of this analysis are presented as the ways of cadastral value institutionalization, the proposed definition of the cadastral value institution and the main stages of institutionalization. Today the cadastral value institution is at the stage of transition from establishment to development, having passed the stages of genesis and formation. As the result of research, the author examined institutional changes in connection with the latest amendments to the legislation of the Russian Federation in the form of the transfer of cadaster authority to state budget institutions.
